Renae Paige has been making music her own way since 1996 as a North Carolina native and alternative pop folk singer-songwriter and guitarist with over twenty-three years experience performing live, composing and writing. She performs solo, duo and full band shows in the Triad area of North Carolina and the Southeast.
Feeling at home on the stage since age four when she competed in pageants, she performs regularly in the North Carolina Piedmont Triad and across the Southeast with The Renae Paige Band, known for pop folk fusion that includes herself, Renae Paige (vocals, guitar) Eddie McGee (mandolin), Ken Mohan (bass guitar, vocals) and John McDaniels (drums). She also performs solo, and in a duo band with Eddie McGee.
Her voice is as sweet and haunting as a Southern lullaby with subtle Gwen Stefani sass and expressive no holding back emotionally moving lyrics in her repertoire of over 80 original songs.
With over twenty-three years of live performing coupled with composing and writing, she is a professional artist that is taking music beyond her own expectations. She wrote her first song at age ten and studied piano and voice in her youth and at age 16, she picked up the guitar a friend had left behind one day, serendipitously.
Renae Paige’s musical influences began with the first song she heard by John Denver as a child listening to the music with her Grandmother who sang to her 24/7. Renae’s musical influences include many ‘90s artists with Gwen Stefani (her favorite), Sheryl Crow, Jewel, Leigh Nash, The Corrs, Amy Winehouse and U2. Her music has been compared to Jewel and Alanis Morissette.
Renae released her debut album, XxtraOrdinary in 2005 through Turmic Records and her hit song “Gettin’ Played” made it into the Top 100 songs on Amazon Music UK in 2006. She is a member of ISSA- International Singer Songwriters Association.
Now, after a fifteen year hiatus after Renae went back to school to become a nurse, she plans to release her second album, “My Own Way” in September 2020, and already has enough new songs for yet a third album to also be recorded and released in 2020.
