all lower-case letters; which is frequently met with resistance!

joyce is an experienced educator with a BS from Illinois State University, MEd from Georgia Southern University, and an EdD from the University of West Florida.

Currently, joyce serves as Executive Director of the National Association of Branch Campus Administrators (NABCA) and is the Princess (more commonly known as President!) of Best Gurl Inc, a unique, multi-platform communications firm she owns with her husband, Thom Gossom Jr.

joyce is a former Associate Dean of the seven University of West Florida-Emerald Coast locations, Leadership Florida graduate, and former City Councilmember and Florida League of Cities representative for the City of Fort Walton Beach.

Her clients include: Auburn University, Gulf Power Company, American Business Women's Association (ABWA), Blue Ridge Conference on Leadership, and the National Association of Branch Campus Administrators (NABCA).

In her new book, "Why are They Following Me? How to lead more effectively"  joyce has given the world "a valuable resource for everyone who wants to be a more effective leader" shares Don Logan- Retired Chairman of Time Warner Media & Communications.

joyce says: 'if you are looking for a dramatic, entertainer, I am not it!"  What joyce is: since her first speech as an eighth grader to now delivering keynote addresses and facilitating workshops and retreats for corporate executives and educators; passionate about making a difference in the lives of others and inspiring her audiences to ACTION!
